Design guidelines
Introduction
Through the separation of content from design the demand for freelance website designers is becoming increasingly driven by the requirements of a company's preferred Content Management System.
Our Content Management System has been built from the ground up to be as generic as possible. A major part of this is the ability to load different CSS stylesheets; completely changing the layout and look of a site without having to do any sort of bespoke backend programming.
The following pages outline the basic requirements for achieving this objective.
How do I produce a design template?
- Click here to download the sample files.
These include a sample stylesheet page and the default stylesheets.
- Extract the files to a suitable location on your hard drive.
- Edit the files to produce your design following our design guidelines.
- Once finished, compress the root folder using your own compression software and send it to us via the Submitting designs section of this site.
